The release of the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in 2015 as part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development has encouraged organisations around the world to explore ways in which to further contribute to sustainable development.
The SDGs are a transformational, ambitious and very important step towards organisations becoming more sustainable. There are 17 goals and 169 targets defined which allows all industry sectors to contribute to a more sustainable future.
Incorporating the SDGs into your sustainability strategy will provide you with a broader view of the organisation’s sustainability impacts and opportunities across the value chain.
The SDGs can be incorporated into current reporting frameworks such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards, and Integrated Reporting <IR>.
What are your organisation’s goals and targets for sustainable development?
This is how we can help:
Using the SDG goals and targets, we can map your current activities against each relevant goal, help you to identify opportunities to contribute to the goals, and set short, medium, and long term targets.
We can write your SDG report for you and incorporate other reporting that you undertake. We can provide advisory services around using the framework if you’d like to approach the SDGs yourself.
We can help you plan how to approach your SDG report, including: mapping your current business strategy and activities to the 17 SDGs; stakeholder engagement, materiality assessment, target setting and developing a strategic SDG focus for the short, medium and long term.
We can assist with incorporating the SDGs into your overall business strategy.
